The HP Envy x360 is a stylish and powerful 2-in-1 laptop — thin, portable, and designed to flip into tablet mode. But this sleek design also means that the hinge area is one of its weakest points.

For this customer, both hinges had broken, causing the screen to lift and the front glass to crack. The laptop could no longer close properly, and continuing to use it risked further internal damage.

Sending it to the HP Service Centre would have meant weeks of downtime and a costly repair, which wasn’t an option since the customer needed the laptop for everyday use.

We’ve repaired many HP Envy x360 hinge cases before, so we knew exactly what to do. After inspecting the laptop, we gave the customer a quote on the spot and explained the available options.
