The Lenovo Yoga 730 13″ is a premium 2-in-1 convertible laptop known for its slim, lightweight build and flexibility. But with that flexibility comes one of its most common issues — hinge damage.

When the hinge weakens or breaks, the screen can no longer close properly. That was the case for this customer, who had just arrived in Sydney and needed her laptop working again as quickly as possible.

Since the Yoga 730’s hinge mechanism connects directly to both the screen and base housing, improper handling or pressure can cause the mounts to break — a frequent issue we see with thin convertible designs.
