Service Description

Is your computer running slow, acting strangely, or showing pop-up ads you didn’t ask for? You might be dealing with a virus or malware infection. These threats can sneak into your system through suspicious downloads, email attachments, or unsafe websites — and they can quickly cause serious problems.

Common signs of a virus include freezing, crashing, unexpected restarts, unknown programs launching, missing files, fake virus warnings, or being unable to open certain apps or files.

At Safemode, we offer expert virus removal for all computers — PC laptops, desktops, and Apple Macs. We clean your system properly and make sure it runs smoothly and safely again.

Pricing Breakdown

The cost of virus or malware removal for PC computers typically starts from $160 to $250 or $280, depending on the severity of the infection and whether we need to back up your data before proceeding.

Here’s how the pricing generally breaks down:

  • $160–$200 → For basic virus removal, such as eliminating adware, pop-ups, browser hijackers, or known malware — when no data backup is needed. These are usually straightforward cleanup jobs on still-bootable systems.
  • $200–$250+ → For moderate infections that involve deeper system scans, registry cleaning, or system file restoration. We may also need to update or repair your antivirus and security settings.
  • $250–$280+ → For severe infections, ransomware traces, or when we need to back up your files first before beginning the cleanup to protect your documents, photos, and other important data.

What affects the cost:

  • Type and depth of infection (virus, trojan, rootkit, ransomware)
  • Whether your PC still boots or needs recovery tools
  • If we need to back up and restore your files
  • If an OS repair or reinstallation is needed after virus removal

➡ Backing up data adds time and complexity to the process, which is why the higher end of the price applies when your files need to be secured before cleanup.

Our Process

  • Initial Inspection – We begin by assessing the symptoms and scanning your system using multiple professional-grade antivirus tools to identify threats.
  • Safe Backup (if needed) – If the system is still usable, we back up important files first before proceeding with removal.
  • Virus & Malware Removal – We remove viruses, malware, spyware, adware, and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) using advanced tools and manual cleanup.
  • Repair & Restore System Files – We fix any damage to Windows or macOS caused by the infection, including missing files, registry errors, or blocked access.
  • Update & Optimize – We update your operating system, reinstall or repair essential drivers, and ensure your antivirus software is up-to-date.
  • Final Testing – We test startup speed, software performance, internet browsing, and verify that all threats have been removed.

The Technical Stuff

Viruses and malware can come in many forms:

  • Trojans & Worms – Often run silently in the background, stealing data or using system resources.
  • Adware & PUPs – Flood your browser with pop-ups or redirect you to fake websites.
  • Ransomware – Encrypts your files and demands payment (we help remove it but recovery depends on damage).
  • Rootkits & Keyloggers – Hide deep in the system or record everything you type.
  • Browser Hijackers – Take over your search engine or homepage without permission.
  • System Modifiers – Disable antivirus software, change settings, or block updates.

We combine automated tools with manual cleanup to catch both visible and hidden threats — and ensure they’re gone for good.

Our Difference

Not all virus removals are the same. Some services only run a quick scan and call it done. At Safemode, we go deeper — checking what’s running in the background, where the infection came from, and if anything was damaged or changed along the way.

We’ve cleaned thousands of infected computers — from office PCs to student laptops to creative workstations. We use trusted tools, explain the issue in simple terms, and make sure your system is stable, secure, and working properly before you take it home.

At Safemode, you get more than just a virus scan — you get peace of mind.
